Ministry of Reconciliation

"Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

This week guest speak Pastor Robert Oh spoke about the Ministry of Reconciliation. From 2 Corinthians, Scripture makes it clear that one of our central missions as Christians is to serve as ambassadors dedicated to reconciling a lost world to Christ. As we go through our daily lives we must constantly ask ourselves how am I representing Christ? Is my example promoting my ministry or distracting from it?

Pastor Robert shared in this context about his ministry experience in Philippines. A key driving factor in any missions outreach is the focus on reconciliation. This is should be our specialty as Christians--to be masters of reconciliation through Jesus. We may not all have certain resources or skills to give others, but we all have the ability as ambassadors of Christ to promote the word of reconciliation.
